Rather than using crowd-funding websites like Kickstarter, the band is allowing fans to pre-order the new record, 'Suffer My Wrath', directly from them. The campaign will run until the end of March, and will include several campaign exclusives, such as the first ever vinyl edition of 2006's 'So Pretty So Plastic'.
'Suffer My Wrath' will be Killwhitneydead's first new release since 'Nothing Less Nothing More' and 'Hell To Pay' in 2007. After 12 years together, the band are stepping away from the confines of typical deathcore, and creating something much more interesting with 'Suffer My Wrath'.
Of the upcoming record, vocalist Matt Rudzinski says, "Over
the years, we have definitely been pigeonholed as a group and
deservedly so, but when Kyle [Odell, guitar] handed me this batch of new songs
back in 2010 I knew we were going to shake things up for KWD fans. Are
we re-inventing the wheel as far as metal is concerned, not really, but
are we attempting to shatter expectations of what a new Killwhitneydead
record will sound like in 2013? Sure we are, but whether fans will
accept that change, only time will tell."
